Farragut SP is getting another disc golf course! It is planned to be an eighteen hole par 60 layout. I believe it will replace the "Family Friendly Nine" (pitch & putt style) as it seems it wasn't getting used very much. I think the schedule is to have it ready by the end of April. Also, in addition to the C tier event planned for Sept. 18th, there will be two separate C tier events May 1st and May 2nd.

Actually...........
There is talk of an A tier next year
and
there talk of another course next year
and
Keith Jones, the park manager(?) believes he could host the WORLDS.

Don't know if all that will happen but it is something to watch out for.

I can't recall ever seeing any course maps.
You could google "northstar" and/or "wreckreator" disc golf.

The new Double Black Diamond DCG is now playable but not finished at Farragut SP. The front 9 playes in the area of the old 9 hole family course but is much bigger. That back 9 is nearby as well. It has been playable now for a few months but still has no cement teepads, those will be a boy scout project that will be done soon and I have been assured by Keith (park ranger) that they will be done in time for the Farragut Open that my dad and I are running on Sept. 18. The long term goal for Farragut is rumored to be having 5 courses there with the hopes of someday maybe being able to hold a Worlds Championship there, which is not unreasonable to think considering they have sooooooo much land to work with. I have heard that a short course will again be installed but that will go just to the west of where the NorthStar course is. DBD is sweet and plays as a pro par 60 but I think as of now a 1000 rated round would be somewhere in the 57-58 range depending on weather.

I also forgot to mention course maps. Course maps are available from the park HQ are are nice full color maps avail for 50 cents or so each. I don't think they have them available online yet and I have also not seen a map for the new Double Black Diamond either. If you are planning a trip up to Farragut soon your best bet would be to holler at a local for a tour. I will try to check here frequently but if not post on www.northidahodiscgolf.com and look for me there.
